On Sunday, January 15th, during Milan Men's Fashion Week 2023, Igloo Studios Milano – in collaboration with De Liguoro and Gianni Tolentino – paid tribute to Fabio Mancini, one of the most iconic faces of Italian fashion in the world. Igloo Studio thus inaugurated its new photographic studio and creative space in the best possible way with an exclusive event in Galleria Unione, just a few steps from Piazza Duomo, which also had the merit of reminding everyone of this beautiful historic corner of Milan, just meters from the fashion district.
Fabio Mancini, dressed by the renowned Milanese designer Gianni Tolentino in collaboration with the most important contemporary Italian symbolist painter Massinissa Askeur, walked the runway surrounded by fourteen models wearing the magnificent creations of San Gallery Boutique and Hosis Milano, in an explosive mix of bold and refined looks.
Expertly paired with the outfits and beautifully worn by both the models and Fabio, De Liguoro jewelry was the absolute star of the event, illuminating the evening with its strong fashion product identity.
A beautiful evening which, thanks to the accompaniment of charismatic radio host Elena Galliano, DJ Emanuele Vernarelli, and the unmistakable melodies of the duo Elsa Martignoni on violin and Massimo D’Alessio on piano, experienced a crescendo of intensity, culminating in Fabio’s emotion at the closing of the show. “In those few minutes, I saw all my 15 years on the most important runways pass by. Forgive me, I got emotional,” were the words of the supermodel at the end of the show.
Fabio then wished to address two special thoughts to two people particularly dear to him. The first was addressed to King Giorgio: “A special thanks to maestro Giorgio Armani, who loved me like a son and kept me with him for 15 years.” The second went to his lifelong friend, co-founder of the creative hub Igloo Studios Milano and creator of the event, Matteo Perin.
De Liguoro’s thanks go to Igloo Studios Milano but, in particular, to the prestigious parterre of guests who honored the evening with their important and heartfelt participation, providing a fitting frame for the event. A special thanks for the collaboration also goes to the prestigious Media Partners, to Fashion Channel, the absolute leading web TV in the international fashion sector, and to Luxury prêt-à-porter Magazine, but above all, we give a special thank you to Fabio Mancini for his career, for the evening, and for having decided a year and a half ago to momentarily leave the runways to dedicate himself heart and soul to his social commitment in the service of young people. A commitment that sees him traveling to schools throughout Italy to tell his story, but above all his weaknesses and the difficulties encountered, and overcome, in life, and thus encourage young people, all young people, to pursue their dreams.
