The Italian brand, De Liguoro, is celebrating its 60th anniversary by reliving the company's journey in an exhibition open to the public at the showroom on Via San Martino 17 until Sunday, October 22nd.
The exhibition showcases some of the jewelry (the fruit of the creativity not only of Gianni De Liguoro but also of his daughter Francesca) that has most significantly marked the brand's path and best conveys its product and brand identity.
The exhibition also marks the official launch of “Anniversary”, the first line of the new ANTHOLOGY collection, which will in the future offer “vintage” products from the immense De Liguoro archive, as well as numbered reissues and reinterpretations of jewelry from old collections.
The long history of De Liguoro, it should be remembered, began back in 1964 with an idea from Gianni De Liguoro and his wife, Angela Locatelli, who founded the company DELI in Milan, with which they created small beauty accessories in various materials, leveraging Gianni's skill and creativity.
De Liguoro then established important collaborations with many "Made in Italy" brands, also asserting itself on an international level. In its very first year of activity, DELI began a fruitful collaboration with the Italian detergent and cleaning product company Mira Lanza, creating a gadget destined to go down in history: the keychain featuring Calimero, the little black chick designed by the Pagot brothers and Ignazio Colnaghi, and consigned to eternity by the legendary Carosello.
The encounter with high fashion, which took place in the last two decades of the last century, began with the collaboration between Gianni and the Italian fashion designer Clara Centinaro, who, in those years, showed alongside the great couturiers of Alta Moda Roma. The synergies with some of the most refined and elegant brands on the Italian scene, including Alberta Ferretti, Renato Balestra, Rocco Barocco, Fausto Sarli, Enzo Russo, Trussardi, Gai Mattiolo, and Cavalli, caused the brand's notoriety to explode. It thus arrived on the haute couture runways and in many prime-time Rai and Mediaset programs, and with its stunning crowns, it adorned the heads of the beauty queens of the well-known Miss Italia pageant.
The success of the Italian brand, we emphasize, is due above all to the great competence and reputation gained by the company over the years and to the passion that Gianni De Liguoro has always had for his work and for the world of Fashion Jewellery.
All De Liguoro jewelry, in fact, consists of unique pieces, strictly handmade and produced with a maniacal attention to every single detail, characterized by high quality standards and exceptional exclusivity.
Today, keeping pace with the times, De Liguoro has renewed the Maison's image while remaining faithful to the history and values of the brand and continuing to be an absolute protagonist in the sector and in the history of Italian fashion and costume.
Sustainability and inclusion are the two driving keywords for the company, which works every day to safeguard the planet and to promote and value diversity.
