Huge success for De Liguoro jewelry thanks to the beauty, professionalism, and freshness of Samira Lui.
Huge success for the game show “La ruota della fortuna” [Wheel of Fortune], thanks to a masterful Jerry Scotti and a truly timeless format.
La ruota della fortuna is in fact one of the cult programs on the small screen and worldwide. Created by Merv Griffin, the game show debuted in 1975 in the United States on NBC under the title Wheel of Fortune but was soon exported to about 60 countries, and it is still aired today in Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and, indeed, in Italy.
For Generation X, who even today, when in a pinch, exclaim “I’ll buy a vowel,” the Wheel of Fortune immediately brings to mind the great Mike Buongiorno, who made it an unmissable appointment for 15 years, but for younger people, it will be the version by Jerry Scotti, another absolute icon of our TV, that will remain in their hearts.
It was Jerry Scotti himself who wanted this revival, and to celebrate his 40 years on TV (by the way, huge congratulations!), he asked Pier Silvio to bring back this format that his parents also loved so much.
A cross-generational format that everyone likes and that provides constructive entertainment, and one that also positively marked the careers of the many “vallette” [showgirls] who took turns on this stage, among whom we remember Paola Barale, Antonella Elia, Claudia Grego, Miriana Trevisan, Nancy Comelli, and Victoria Silvstedt in the edition hosted by Enrico Papi.
While thanking Samira for how brightly she makes De Liguoro jewelry shine, we wish for her that the Wheel of Fortune will also be an extraordinary stepping stone for a winning and long-lasting career in the entertainment world.
