Anniversary, la nuova linea De Liguoro nata per celebrare i sessant’anni del brand

Anniversary, the new De Liguoro line created to celebrate the brand's sixtieth anniversary

The long history of De Liguoro began back in 1963, thanks to an idea by Gianni De Liguoro and his wife Angela Locatelli, who decided to found the company DELI in Milan. Their goal was to create small beauty accessories using various materials, leveraging the skills—honed by Gianni during his studies at the Brera Academy—and, above all, the great creativity that has always defined his personality.

Strengthened by the numerous and famous collaborations that De Liguoro has established with many "Made in Italy" brands, the Maison's history is studded with great successes that have allowed the company to establish itself internationally.

The brand's consecration took place in its very first year, when, thanks to its sculptural ability, DELI began a fruitful collaboration with the Italian detergent company Mira Lanza, creating a gadget destined to go down in history: the keychain featuring Calimero, the little black chick designed by the Pagot brothers and Ignazio Colnaghi, and rendered eternal by the legendary Carosello.

The encounter with high fashion in the last twenty years of the last century—which began with the collaboration between Gianni and Italian designer Clara Centinaro, who walked the runways with the great couturiers of Alta Moda Roma during those years—and the synergies with some of the most refined and elegant brands on the Italian scene, including Alberta Ferretti, Renato Balestra, Rocco Barocco, Fausto Sarli, Enzo Russo, Trussardi, Gai Mattiolo, and Cavalli, caused the brand's popularity to explode. During those years, it appeared on haute couture runways and many prime-time Rai and Mediaset programs, and with its stunning crowns, it adorned the heads of the winners of the famous Miss Italia pageant.

The success of the Italian brand, however, is mainly due to the great competence and reputation earned by the company over the years and to the passion that Gianni De Liguoro has always had for his work and the world of Fashion Jewellery.

Indeed, all De Liguoro jewels are unique pieces, rigorously handmade and produced with obsessive attention to every single detail, in line with high quality standards and exceptional exclusivity.

Today, keeping pace with the times, De Liguoro has renewed the Maison's image while remaining faithful to the history and values of the brand, and continues to be one of the absolute protagonists of the sector and the history of Italian fashion and costume. Sustainability and inclusion are the two driving keywords of the company, which is committed every day to safeguarding the planet and to promoting and enhancing diversity.

On the occasion of Milan Jewelry Week, De Liguoro is organizing a first celebratory event for the anniversary by setting up an exclusive exhibition at its showroom at Via San Martino number 17, featuring the jewelry that has most marked the brand's path and that best tells the story of its product and brand identity.

On October 17th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Francesca De Liguoro will welcome journalists and industry experts for an invitation-only cocktail party. On this occasion, the Maison De Liguoro will introduce itself to its guests through a journey that will bring back to life sixty years of the brand’s creativity and craftsmanship. An exhibition of some of the “masterpieces” from the De Liguoro collections, the fruit of the creativity of Gianni De Liguoro and his daughter Francesca, will recount the history and product identity of De Liguoro and unveil the wonderful products of the new Fall/Winter 2023–2024 collection.

The exhibition, which will be open to the public from October 17th to 22nd, will officially launch “Anniversary,” the first line of the new ANTHOLOGY collection. In the future, this collection will reintroduce “vintage” products from the immense De Liguoro archive, as well as numbered re-editions and reinterpretations of jewels from past collections.

The company's anniversary celebration will conclude next autumn with the publication of a book that will recount the history and successes that the Maison De Liguoro has achieved over the years.
